Meet the family behind Evergreen & Embers
We are Derek & Jen. We are transplants to Waterloo and have loved calling this home since 2010. We both work full time, are raising 2 awesome humans and 2 obnoxious dogs. Each family member has some hand in helping support this business space, even those pups!
Evergreen & Embers is a combination of our hobbies and strengths. Derek is a research scientist by day. His attention to detail and ability to solve any problem help him to create durable, handcrafted creations and art. Jen is a social worker by trade. She dreams up projects, thrifts for inspiration & the environment, and creates candles (etc) to bring cozy and comforting vibes to the spaces she inhabits.
